retro displays
Nixie tubes, VFDs, and other glowing relics wired into modern circuits.
Inspired by the warmth of old Soviet-era Nixie tubes and Japanese VFD displays. The goal is to drive these with modern microcontrollers while keeping the aesthetic analog and imperfect.
what’s happening
Building a driver board that talks I2C so any microcontroller can spin up a display without dealing with the high-voltage side.
